The Crèche at Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem
The Abbey is a favorite destination for many of our guests of all faiths. Visitors love the serenity of this beautiful spot that is farmed by Benedictine nuns who sing Gregorian chants several times each day. Housed in an austere barn is the crèche that was handcrafted by artisans in Naples. It was originally given to King Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia in 1720 at the time of his coronation. The crèche is open daily 10-4. Stay to hear them sing Gregorian Chants, which are known world-wide through their Women in Chant audio CD's. See their website for the schedule of singing done at the Abbey. The Abbey is located about 8 miles from Cornucopia at Oldfield. Click here for website. Closed after January 6th, re-opening on Easter Sunday.
There is no charge for admission.
